Byron has been active throughout his entire life. He swam, played volleyball, and practiced martial arts. He was very active throughout his childhood, but a diving injury in his early teens kept him from competing. Over the next 2 to 3 years, he would deal with nagging back pain. He struggled with conventional medicine’s approach — doctors telling him to “take some NSAIDs and do some stretches before exercising”. While this would help with the pain, he would still hurt after any sort of activity. He began seeing a local chiropractor and found himself on the road to recovery.
Traditional chiropractic helped him with his low back pain, but the pain would continue to come back. It was only when Dr. Lam started to explore the world of rehab and strengthening exercises that he found a more long-term solution. In his exploration of corrective exercises, Dr. Lam began to understand their necessity and importance as a solution to keeping him pain free and active.
Dr. Lam graduated from New York Chiropractic College and has been licensed by the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners in chiropractic and physiotherapy. He is licensed in the state of Maryland.
He is a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician®, FR® Release Practitioner, Functional Range Conditioning Mobility Specialist, and a Level 1 Certified provider with the Titleist Performance Institute.
