If you're new to chiropractic care, you may not know of all the things it can ofer. One of the most overlooked and most important benefits is that it can save you
  1. Time
  2. Money
  3. Reduced risk
There are many studies that compare chiropractic care and surgery as investments in your health.

Time

The biggest goal of chiropractic care is to find and address the root cause of your pain. If you come to our clinic, we will figure out how to address your pain AND figure out what is causing the injury. This is different from standard medicine, where you will get pain killers and told to rest the pain away. The problem? The prescription masks the pain, but prolongs the injury! While this might seem quicker, you will not gain long lasting relief.

This means that your injury will continue to cause pain for a much longer duration. Patients who start with chiropractic treatment saw greater improvement in their function!

We use individualized programs to manage your pain and correct movement intolerances. This way you can get your pain to go away AND stay away.

Surgery, while it seems like a quick fix, is a very long and drawn-out process. Here's the time line for surgery.
  1. Pre-surgical preparative rehab (4-8 weeks)
  2. Post-operative recovery (4 weeks)
  3. Post-operative rehab (16-18 weeks)
During your post-op recovery and rehab, you will not be alble to do your desired activities or duties. The surgery will fix the "what" is hurting, but it will not answer the "why" it is hurting. One study shows recommends that you seek out chiropractic care for low back pain first. That way you reduce the amount of imaging tests, surgeries or opioid prescriptions.

Complications

With all surgeries, there is a risk of complications. Some complications are minimal, while some are very serious and even life-threatening. In this study, 23% of patients had complications after spinal surgery. 11% had serious complications, while 3% died.

Surgery is often followed by prescriptions drugs. It can sometimes lead to drug-dependency issues caused by opiods and pain pills. The opioid epidemic is serious in America.

When choosing a chiropractor, you will never be prescribed medication for your pain or injury. Patients who see chiorpractors are 55% less likely to fill a pain pill prescription.

Money

One of the bigest benefits of chiropractic over surgery is the amount of money you can save.

By choosing a chiropractor, you pay 40% less than what you would pay with at other types of providers. You also choose a treatment with a shorter waiting time. Doctors of chiropractic can start working on you right away. The cost of going to a chiropractor will also be less than if you were to go to a large hospital for care.
